Social Program

PBD-III 2017 Vancouver social events are an integral element of the conference and will be included in the full conference registration packages, or can be ordered "a la carte" by delegates attending part of the conference and for accompanying guests.

The tentative program of Social Events includes the following:

Ice Breaker and Exhibitor Reception
Sunday – July 16, 2017

Join us for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while catching up with old colleagues and meeting new acquaintances. Held in the Trade Exhibition Hall, the Sunday Ice Breaker is the perfect opportunity to meet both local and international conference delegates and exhibitors!

Fun Night at the Vancouver Aquarium
Tuesday – July 18, 2017

The PBD-III 2017 featured social evening will be held at the Vancouver Aquarium situated in Vancouver's iconic Stanley Park! Delegates will be able to mingle with friends and colleagues while experiencing one of Canada's premier marine and freshwater aquaria venues. Cocktails and canapés will be served throughout the evening as guests are encouraged to explore the diverse range of interactive exhibits, displays, and interpretation centres that have made the aquarium a renowned Vancouver destination.

Opened in 1956, the Vancouver Aquarium was officially Canada's first public aquarium and remains a national attraction to this day. The Vancouver Aquarium has been internationally recognized for its display and interpretation excellence, and was the first facility to incorporate professional naturalists and interpretive specialists. The Vancouver Aquarium also leads a multitude of world-wide extended research projects as well as a very successful marine mammal rescue program.

Be sure to bring your partner and include these popular social events in your plans when attending PBD-III 2017 Vancouver.

More information on our Social Events will be posted in the spring of 2017.
